What a joy and privilege it was to come together on Sunday and worship and start fresh 2012! I love the start of a new year and the refreshing the Holy Spirit brings with each beginning. Today, is the first day of this week's fasting and prayer. I can't think of a better way to start the year then aligning our hearts and minds with the Holy Spirit asking Him to speak and move in our lives and in MCC.
I want to encourage you all as you fast and pray this week to seek the heart of the Father and to hear His voice for you and your family. I am so excited and blessed to be sharing this week of fasting and praying with you. And we are expecting great and powerful things to come because of this week for 2012, MCC, your family, friends and the community of Burbank!
Please join us, as we break our fast, to our combined English and Spanish worship night on Sunday, January 8 at 6pm. It will be a great time to celebrate all the things the Lord has done through this fast!
Attached is our prayer guide from last year that has great Scripture based prayers. If you need somewhere to start, the prayer guide is a helpful tool. James 5:16 says, "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." It can also be downloaded off our website (www.mediacitychurch.com under the "Resource" tab).
